Enterprise Sustainability Management(ESM)
We define ESM as an active process of managing the intersecting and dynamic social, environmental, and economic factors within the influence of an enterprise such that the business of the enterprise yields a cumulative positive impact on the quality of life in the long term. Our services and products under enterprise sustainability management include:
- Sustainability Strategy:
We help organisations develop or critically review their enterprise sustainability strategies. There are numerous different sustainability frameworks punted in business sectors and academia, including triple bottom line; Natural Step; bio mimicry; Natural Capitalism; et al. The profound complexity of the sustainability challenge, coupled with the proliferation of different solution frameworks often lead organisations to action paralysis or, at best, adoption of tactical and compliance driven initiatives. Organisations need to think deeply about the sustainability challenges in order to come up with the right kind of innovative solutions. We help organisation make sense of the complexity and advance appropriate strategic action for the organisation in the context of long term sustainability.
- EcoPlan™ for Infrastructure Projects:
We provide a software tool, EcoPlan™ and methodology to help measure and manage impacts of large infrastructure construction projects on environmental, social, and economic factors that are relevant to stakeholders. EcoPlan™ is patent pending eco management software that was developed by a Portland (Oregon, USA) based company called EcoLogistics LLC. We have an exclusive partnership with EcoLogistics LLC to provide EcoPlan™ services in the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) region. Project Managers use EcoPlan™ during the planning and preconstruction phases to generate performance metrics that quantify how designs, specifications and supply chains would impact their sustainability goals.
- Energy Intelligence:
Implement systems and organisational processes necessary to provide management and employees at all levels with information and insight about their energy consumption levels; patterns; trends; and causality. This is a critical piece into the formulation of an energy efficiency strategy that is sustainable and has a potential for delivering substantial savings for the organisation.
